In 1846 Geaorge Gill donated £3000 to open a subscription for the founding of The People's College of Nottingham. It aimed to provide education for the working classes to enable them to grasp opportunities and to raise their economic, social and political status.
A 160 year history in Nottingham - Don't throw it away!
